The last 3 jobs I have worked at has all promised training but never follow threw with it. I am not stupid but I always like to do the work like the companies want it done. When I get just shoved into a position and am not sure what they want it makes me very stressed out. Then it does effect my work. This last one I am thinking about giving it up because of it. But I feel as if I am letting myself down. I take a lot of pride in my work and jobs are so hard to find around here right now. I don't know what to do. I explained it to my boss when I was hired but I guess it didn't soak in.

I usually attend the interviews of nice reputed companies. I actually attended interviews at my college campus. Previously was working with other MNC as a part time and that too did not cheat because it cheats nobody. So, it is all in choosing the company.

You are so right about jobs in the Greensburg area being hard to find right now. I have had that happen to me more often than I can count , just being thrown into a job with out any training. To me thats almost as bad as working somewhere where they look over your shoulder the whole time.uhhmm hey while your watching my performance how can you get anything done your supposed to be doing? lol

I have had that happen a few times. The job was supposed to have training but the training actually consisted, more or less, of some manager saying "here's the till, here's the customer, get on with it". I don't know if companies have a different idea of training from the idea we have. I'm sure you are in a difficult situation because you don't want to quit because of the difficulty of finding a job but you are not getting anywhere in this one. All you can do is probably keep asking for the training. Do your best in what you do. Maybe if you start doing things your own way, the boss will notice and show you the way he wants it done.
