I think the only way you get answers to your posts is to do with what it is about and nothing more.
I am still getting responses to discussions I started on my first day. So far I have only chosen one best response and since then changed my mind about it so I am still trying to decide how long I should leave it until I choose the best response.
Who knows?

Not posting a best response is something I used to struggle with. However I have comet to understand that it is an honorable thing to do when members take the time to add to any site topic.
It can be tough at times...but members always like to have a positive pat on the back...so in my view allocating a BR is something we all need to keep doing. Whenever I am awarded one I go back and thank the person and in many cases we end up being friends.
So the choice is yours to make...but that and rating all members..ALL the time are part of how experienced Mylotters stay in touch and keep abuses from occurring.

I think its down to friends and getting yourself noticed more than anything.
I just look for conversations I can take part in and then start posting away like a looney lol. My questions are being pushed down fairly quickly at the minute but then im still a very new user so people havent had time to get to know me properly yet so it doesn't bother me. Eventually people will recognise my username and start replying to my discussions.
I figure its about the same for everyone, oh and congrats on passing the magic 100 posts mark!

There are scores of my discussion topics which has 1 or no response. There are thousands of my topics which have received above 5 and below 20. There are hundreds of topics which have received more than 100. There are around 10 topics which have received more than 800 responses. There is no secret. One has to do follow up of the discussion by answering the responses (by giving comments) and one should have good friends (on reciprocal basis) who can answer your topics.

Thanks everyone for answering. So I need to get myself some more friends who are interested in the same topics as me. That way they will be interested in answering my questions.
Thanks again.

The best way is to write something that is interesting, that does not require a one or two sentence, also to write your posts four or more lines, possibly more, and to make as many friends as possible. Also comment on the answers in such a way to keep the conversation going. That will attract a lot of interest and also make sure that if your post can be thought of as another interest, put that interest in the tag lines.
