Female Firefighters

I'm studying to be a professional firefighter and I'm a female. Does anybody know the training you have to go through to be one? I heard it's extensive and hard, but was wondering more about it.

I'm a firefighter and an EMT, and the training is really not all that extensive, nor is it hard. You will go through a lot more once you're on the job. The Hazardous Materials classes are a lot of memorization, but everything else is not that big of a deal. Good Luck!
