I play both online and real world texas hold'em. I like them both but I enjoy playing with "real" people better because you can read your opponent and there's all the around the table fun. So what do you like better, online or in person and why?

I play both online and off and like to play offline better. It's more fun and mostly, I can look at the people and get a feel for what is possibly going on.
Online, there are no clues and there is no way to get a feel for the people who play.
I prefer playing with a group of people for a long time rather than going to casino and going from table to table. That way, we have fun and get to know each other's habits. Well, not mine, I keep a poker face at all time. lol.

I feel the same way about off line games. We play alot with friends and you get to know how they play and even if you've been knocked out it fun to hang out and wait for the next game to start. You don't get that online.

I also play poker both online and off. I think there are advantages to both.
Online, you don't really play with real money so you don't really have anything to lose (except pride, maybe). Also, the people you're playing with can't see your reactions to your hand and the cards that appear, so this is good for those who can't easily control their emotions (or those who can't make a "poker face").
In 'real life' I only play with people I know, and not in casinos. I don't have that much money to throw around on gambling. The advantage here is that you get to interact with real people so it's more fun and lively, especially when there's food and drinks around.

I hate playing poker online. There are so many things that are missing from the game when that is the case. I love live poker.
I can put people on reads better. I get a good feel for the game and have more success live. I don't think I have played online in over a year. I just could never get into it.
