Salvation and Panrent/Children relationships

Ok... I know that some of you have probably heard of salvation. I am 29 years old and yes, I have been saved. I am at a point where I live my life how I want. I still go to church on a weekly basis and all. Anyway, me and my mother are not close at all. We have been going through this thing lately and I come to find out that she can't have a relationship becuase I am associated with "darkness". Anyway... it's disturbing that I can't even have a relationship with my own mother becuase of a religion.
