While I appreciate the sentiments expressed in love songs and I have had occassion to begin to beleive in the existence of such love. However most of our relationships fail or we would not have been free to enter into the relationship that we are in now. So obviously that "feeling" which is expressed in songs like Mariah Carey's 'Thank God I found you', 'My all', (et al) and songs by various singers from Rob thomas to 3rd door down and Whitney Houston. They all sing about the wonderment of the condition called love and then they sing songs of loves lost and love unrequited. They have talent, they sing it so beautifully that they make us all want to beleive in it all. However pain and heartache is often the final price to pay for "love" such as in the songs. Sorry if it sounds cynical but it feels true to me.

All love songs are based by the the love that never was and can never be, or either stolen from the writer or the singer.
Infactuation and blinded view of what love is and to be are all a dream, hence if love songs is to work majic the portend to do, i think the world could have been healed.

So you are saying that we are buying into a fantasy when we yearn to beleive in those things that they intimate and baldly state that love can do for you and to you?
