You should never test any earlier than a missed period, although I recommend waiting at least a few days after that time. Yes, there are tests that say you can take them before a missed period, but I wouldn't advise it. They're not that accurate at that time and you're risking a false negative as well as a positive from a chemical pregnancy. When testing, be sure to always use your first morning urine as the hormones the test detects are more concentrated at this time. Never go by symptoms or signs of pregnancy. They're worthless. They closely resemble PMS symptoms and aren't reliable at all when determining whether or not someone is pregnant.

I know it may be really hard to wait but please do. I had tried for three years to get pregnant and posted on a site where girls were testing from 4 days after ovulation and sometimes these girls would get false positives and would be absolutely devestated and that can be so emotionally draining. So just keep youself occupied before you know it, it will be time! Good Luck:)

It depends on what test you get and when you might have conceived. Some can detect prgnancy 5 days before you are late, others need to be done no sooner than the first day of being late. Also if your cycles are not regular it is possible for you to ovulate/conceive sooner or later than expected. If it happened earlier than normal a test could be positive sooner, if you ovulated/conceived late it will take longer to get a positive result.

I think it all depends on the test. I bought some cheap tests from walmart and they all kept saying negative. The next day i bought i think it was clearblue. It was one of the digital ones and it came out positive. Just do a search online and you can probably come up with when you can take one.
