I was sitting here looking around thinking about putting my desk in to some sort of order. After all if my working area is in a mess no wonder my mind can#t get straightened out.
What shall I do first though. There always seems to be so much to do that I just don#t know what to start on first. IS it like this for you?
So far I have sorted out my emails and I have put two things more to sale on Ebay (doing quite well with ebay I must say) Then I thought to myself "What shall I do next?"I took a photo of my desk area well, I took a couple actually. Is your desk all neat and tidy or is it in dissarray like mine?

I must admit my desk looked terrible, I had computer on it and it was hard to clean behind the monitor, but I decided to remove PC and bough lap top, since that time my desk doesn't look that bad and it's easier to clean, well, not too mention books, they are everywhere but that's a different story ;)

I will get organised soon I keep saying that but it's the rest of the house that is really getting to me at the moment For some reason I don't seem to be able to get through anything. Is it the time of the year I wonder to myself. I don't know what is wrong with me right now but something is !

My desk is in the corner of my living room and currently in a bit of a mess too. CD's, photographs, pens and notepads, a coffee mug that really needs to be filled with fresh coffee, and a cat who really wants to play with the keyboard - LOL

My desk is undeer my bed and what I have done is placed two pieces of wood to the left of me on top of two crates; one which is full of jumpers and the other full of crockery to sell. It is held up by the crates and the desk shelf piece of the feature under the bed.
To the right of me I have a four storey shelf unit which fits just nicely . This I found on the street a couple of weeks ago. I keep a crate with Ebay stuff I have selling and a smaller plastic basket with stuff that has sold or been bidded for. Then I have a drawer with software discs inside and some magazines.
This means that I have shelfs either side of me and in front is of course my monitor keyboard etc. to the left I have folders, my to do tray and books - to the right I have the telehone more folders and book again.
Underneath is another story alltogether I m afraid. Apart from the harddrive I have stuff among stuff among astuff it's a nightmare really !

Well a person whose desk is all neat and arranged, isn’t doing much according to me LOL! coz I am as disorganized as you. The moment I arrange my desk and chuck something which is think is unimportant, the very next day I will look for it. But yes, once in two weeks, I do clean out my desk and drawers. I have separate files and papers which are to be chucked go into these.

Yes I am the same I have a tray which unfinished things go into then I have a filing box which has things that asre finished with are kept in. There always seems to be something to be done. That is without the course that I am doing which I haven't looked at in weeks now.

I try and keep my desk in some sort of general cleanliness. Sometimes it just doesn't happen, sometimes it ends up in complete disarray especially if I've been too stressed to really clean and think about how putting my things away. I try to keep it neat, but sometimes it just ends up collecting paper and books and what not, and I'll just have to go and clean it up later whenever I have the chance, which is usually the weekend.

The funny thing is whenever I begin to have a clear out I always without fail get involved in someting else and forget that I was clearing out in the first place. It seems to be some kind of viscious circle that I am going through.
