I have this problem with mine! There are alot of stray cats that do their business around my house and i have to either clean it up or watch my dog before it bets there before me!A couple of friends of mine said their dogs do the same and even one has to put a board so the dog cant get to the litter box.Yuck!!Does yours do this?

Yes! They do. And ir's disgusting! Our ca boxes are in our laundry room, closed off (there are little kitty doors dor cats). But if someone ever leaves the doors open the dogs will sneak in there and eat out of the litter box! ewww

LOL! I think it's so cute when dogs try to sneak somewhere they aren't suppose to be. They always look cute, moving slow and all! =P Yeah. I don't want kisses either but I usually get them forced on me! lol.

Our litter box is downstairs,so when i come to play on mylot i have to watch her, because shes sneaky. When she thinks im not looking, she slowly sneaks towards it.I have one eye on the computer and the other on her!Im not dumb, doggy!I make sure shes by my feet.I have to put a board across the bottom of the door.Shes too short to jump but the cats fly over it!LOL:)Its gross!!!I dont even want a kiss!!:)

My dogs used to do that, too. We had to build our cat houses, to keep her litter boxes in. My little dog still tries to stick her head in there sometimes to get to the litter box! Our lab mix will eat any poop, though. She will eat her own if she feels like it! I've heard that it means they are missing something from their diets. Someone else on here suggested putting a little bit of meat tenderizer in their food. I've just started doing that. I will have to wait and see if it really does help us with our dog.

The vet and the groomer all said its just because they like the taste of it.Like we would like candy.I feed her well, vitamins and all, doesnt change a thing.Ive tried the meat tenderizers along time ago(3 months),made no difference in stopping the poo eating at all.The groomer takes very good care of her dog, shiny coat, best food and it still eats poo.If its something thats missing in their diets i would think it would be a vitamin over a meat tenderizer.Dont you think? If you read the label on back of the bottle it has i think if i remember right all the ingredients thats in a bag of dog food.So to me its just an expensive juicy meat treat.lol:)

I'm definitely inclined to agree with you, that some animals just like the way it tastes. My dogs are both well taken care of. We just thought we would try the meat tenderizer, because it makes me sick to think of how much poop my lab eats, and then my husband lets her kiss him right on the mouth! YUCK! Then I am expected to kiss that same mouth!

I have a dog and 2 kittens. The kittens have been her for 3 months now.My dog has not tried to do anything with their "poo".However I used to work at a vets office and a pet store. They have both said that when a dog dows this they are lacking something in there diet.My kittens eat dog food.Coincedence I don't know. But if you are really concerned.Try putting some hot peppers around yorr house. This will deter the dog.And to deter cats from coming into your yard here is a simple solution. When you brush your dog scatter the hair around the base of your house. This usually deters cats from coming into your yard.

Ive always gave my dog meat tenderizers since they started making it.It made no difference at all,she eats the food from the vet and given the best, checkups are great, bloodwork great.Kitty poo is like candy for them my vet said, they just like to eat it.The vets dog does the same with her cats.lol:)My cats eat my dogs food too,i always have to feed her outside so the cats cant stick their head in it.lol.silly dog cravings.Thankyou cipher2004.

My dog does not eat kitty's poo. He hates everything about cats. Hopefully if one day he befriends our cat, he wouldn't do this. it doesn't sound good at all.hehe!
