It is very difficult to apply for a credit card... lucky for me, an agent went to our office and offered us a credit card... i applied immediately and gave all the necessary requirements... after a month it was approved... i am using only one credit card and i was able to use it to purchase products online... it is indeed very useful

hmm..i've only had my application rejected once, but that was because I just started my first job and have been only working for a few months. after that, I waited longer and tried to apply for a citibank credit card and that got thru, and that was few years ago. have you just started working or have you been working long? there are a lot of banks out there which are offering credit cards, you might wanna try applying for some of them. try to apply a Visa card for starters. good luck!

I am very fortunate in that I have business in the USA. Because of that business, it was escential that I open an American bank account. With my American bank account came a check card from the bank. This "check card," (ATM) is affiliated with VISA, whereas Canadian ATMs are only affiliated with the bank. I use my Check card as a credit card on line, with the money coming right out of my bank account. There was no application, I just had to open an account.

I went through that period where no credit card company wants to issue. It takes one approved credit card to get another. I remember I applied for almost all available credit cards here and I was totally denied and they don't want to divulge the reason why my application was denied. I re-applied online after 6 months on BPI mastercard, and finally, I got one. From then on, credit cards come and go right into my wallet. =P
