What would you bring on a Family outing?

We plan ahead for an outing, but haven't decided yet what food to prepare. My kids love pasta so much but after hearing those news of food poising and the cause was spoiled spaghetti I had a second thought of preparing it. So i tried asking my kids again still they insist to make some spaghetti. Do you have any option? Than to risk my family's health.
