I feel like a fool. I started a discussion this afternoon hoping to get something going, and then I got in touch with Presidential Canditate Barak Obama on Gather to let him know about it, hoping to get his campaign more exposure, and tonight when I came back to check on it it was gone!!!! Yes I put some information about Gather in there, but it was a sidebar to the origional discussion about Barak Obama campaigning on line. What's MyLot's problem?

No need to feel like a fool you are now a member of the " Why the hell was it deleted club". We have many members in our large group! LOL. I am quite surprised they let this go through although just using the word "gather" could be used in a multitude of ways. Did you give the actual link to the website? I can't remember, I do remember the discussion and did not see anything wrong with it.

That's really strange! There are all sorts of political discussions on this site and news stories, so I don't know why they wouldn't want to ride the wave of presidential debating...most other sites are very interested in the upcoming presidential race. I noticed that Helium has a special section, the candidates are all on MySpace and FaceBook. I am surprised that more candidates are not on Gather! I am from Illinois and like Obama very much. It'll be difficult to choose among the Democratic candidates this time...I like all of the 3 front runners for different reasons.

I am somewhere between Barak Obama and Ron Paul. I know what you mean about different people for different reasons. I think it's wonderful how they are all getting in on the action by joining "the common people" on these sites. Some people think it's pandering, but I think it's wonderful. Thanks for weighing in with your opinion.

I suspect, more than anything, it was because your post might have attracted traffic to Gather, thus potentially driving it away from MyLot. I know there have been other posts that people have made about sites that have similarities to MyLot that have mysteriously disappeared...

That's really too bad! I would have liked to be a part of that discussion. DO you think you broke the rules in any way? I never saw the discussion, but I would have liked to...

I did not see anything wrong with it. I have seen a lot of discussions being removed and for reasons that are not obvious to me.

What is not the myLot adm problem honey. I honestly dont think they know what they are doing themself, they are just seen as having to do something, and they just hit randomly.
I myself have had a few discussions deleted as quiet a few responses, and it pisses me of too. Why cant they just provide us with a block feature on here and leave to us to decide what we want here or not? I think i might go on a crusade here, lol. :)
