Please read more than the title

I've noticed since the beginning that many mylotters only read the title -which may not address the questions of the discussion. Please read the entire discussion.
The hard part is some of my favourite mylotters do this each and every time - but they never come back to check if their response has been answered so they never see my thank you for their participation and my gentle urging to answer the discussion question. We've all made this mistake once or twice but some mylotters make it each and every time.
I guess it feels like the half hour comedies on tv where its so funny because the husbands only listen to the first and last part of what the wife says. But in reality its not so hilarious.
I love mylot and my fellow mylotters and its in no way my intention to be mean - far from it - and I appreciate all nice contributions to my discussions...I did want to point this out to well meaning mylotters who may think they're saving time and getting to more discussions.
If there is anything you don't understand about my discussion feel free to ask - or even email me questions.
Okay that's it - every one be well and have a fortuitous day.
Peace - RT

Hi artemis..one of the many reasons I enjoy chatting with you is the fact that you do post thoughtful discussions...and meaningful responses. I have found that when I come here..or when you have offered your comments on my site...or others. I see where you are coming from when members do not take the time to read...or ask for clarification if they need it.
Many of us are keenly interested in good quality topics and try to respond accordingly. I think your position is well stated...and well meant. I trust those who read it will adapt things accordingly.
Warmest regards,
Raia

I don't some may stop visiting. I wondered if it was only me - maybe my topics are long winded and confusing but I went to the websites of those who routinely just answer to the title and they do the same in their other responses as well - except for the odd direct answer.
I guess its a little hurtful - just like those tv show wives must feel. They don't mean to be I know its nothing personal. They even say my friend or my dear chaknow!
Thank you for your support I was trying so hard to be tactful and not mean. Because I don't feel mean about it - I'm just the sort in 'real life' to state how I feel you know?
Nice to see you again Perspectives and hope you're working through your loss and being the lightworker I know you are - for yourself.
I meant to say in that discussion that those that condemn your friends for their choice don't really understand spirituality fully but are just robots taking things in literal fashion. Besides, for the religious people who are judging - isn't said only god can judge?
I don't know about them but I sure live in a glass house.

=D
You signed off as RT.
Is this, then, in some way directed at me =/
I know I've never answered a discussion after just reading the title, but I'm sure mt answers are sometimes off-track.
I feel the same as you, as nice as it is that people respond, I look forward to answers with depth and content, or at least relevance (except where you and I are concerned, and I am happy for there to be tangents galore).
I think people do just do it to reach a target number of posts, and I'd rather not be part of their number if they don't have something valuable to say..
I always love your posts, even if I have to delay them until I can set aside some time and thought =D

Actually programmer was the first to call me that here - but its not a new nickname. Not directed towards you I'm the queen of tangents after all. An architect - professional builder of castles in the air - though that applies more to the activity that has me walking into walls - if you every read my yahoo profile.
I do appreciate the compliments, and yeah I'd rather not be one of the ones they tag! even if it adds to the number of responses on my discussions. Serial empty posters.

Yours are fun too even though the only way you can come up with so many in depth or witty ideas is some sort of osmosis from my mind to yours. You must be sucking through my mind with a straw. Stop that it tickles.

Osmosis reminds me of the kid's movie, Osmosis Jones - it's fun, you should watch it with Robert (if you feel like you need an excuse to watch kid flicks) =P
Awww, I thought I was special with the whole RT, what with the Lx comparison and all.
I was selfish =P

This is all too common here. That's one reason I use a catchy title. That way it makes one read the whole discussion actually. I always go back to the discussions I had responded to. I don't always add more after a comment was added but I do go back. I have notify on so whenever anyone adds anything to my response I get an email as well.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

I've used catchy titles I think that is. I've added more then one comment if that particular conversation warrents more discussion, if not I let it be. I have to start an E-mail just mylot - I can't remember which one I used- too bad they can't notify you that a response you made to anotheer's discussion was replied to!

Well you start thoughtful topics, one I couldn't simply resist to respond at!;)
I always make sure that I read every discussions I respond at, to make sure that I really understand what the topic is all about. But for those who respond but not reading the whole discussion, I guess they are just up to the ratings and money.
I would also like to add those who start discussions and ignore the responses they receive, I believe they are not that interested to the topic they started that makes me think they also must be up for the money and not to converse.

Maybe you're right raijin. Question is your little avatar part of an rpg game? Where did you find him?
To address what you said about you personally responding to discussions - all that you said about yourself is true and you are a valued mylotter to me!

Well as long as you do not ramble on and on. I do not like the posts to be too short, but then I do not like them to be too long. If I want to read a novel, I would read a book. Oh and the thank you part. Well I would rather you commented on my response. Mind you, I suppose you say "thank you for your response" to those who you did not like their responses and is much better than what you really wanted to say and to the ones you like, you give comments. Mind you, I wish I could write more responses, as there are so many posts.

That's part of it, especially when I have a lot of discussions brought up from the past. I want people to know that I read the responses but don't always have time to go through and read each one. There are some that write and also read long discussions. There are those that write shorter ones. I do write some shorter ones and even give some quick surveys instead. If you want you can look at those instead.
Me I like reading longer discussions, like theprogrammer and malyck, and craftcather, and granpa bob and others will write. They're interesting and informative. I guess this is one kind of conversation I have in 'real life'. I like when mylotters will ask questions and share a story. Or sometimes, they describe a great experience they've had and thats the discussion topic. Everyone is different and the great part is - mylot has discussions for everyone! Long and short and on all manner of subjects. That's why I love mylot!
