Thesis ideas...

Hi, guys!!! My friend asked me for some ideas for his mastereal thesis. his course is Master in Arts Education -- Mathematics. I want to help him but I haven't come up with any idea yet. What can you suggest?

My M.A. major is also Mathematics but i have yet to take my comprehensive examination so that i can do my thesis... i have a lot of choices for a thesis topic but my number one choice is studying the mathematics of the indeginous people of Pampanga... schools consider them poor in terms of math but many do not know that their concept of this subject is very much different from ours... i hope that in studying theirs, we would be able to produce a math curriculum that is suited for their culture...

thanks...that's a good idea that you have. It's interesting to know how much mathematics is needed by the indigenous people...and I'm sure you will find some good solution to this problem. :) Good luck....
I actually have an idea, since my friend teaches in MTG (Mathematics Teachers Guild) advance techniques to mathematically inclined students, he suggested that he study the achievements of their students and perhaps measure their success... would this be a good idea???
But i also want something that is quite conceptual...like fractals or the string theory...etc...
