This past week I have noticed many fleas in the house, I believe from all the hot weather but my concern is that they are not regular fleas..They jump like fleas but I think they are sand fleas..I have researched many sites about sand fleas but getting no where on the subject. I am 2 indoor cats and 2 dogs and they don't seem to be jumping on them like regulare pet fleas. Does anyone know if they can get on pets or how to kill them. We have a pool and these fleas don't seem to mind the water either. I've tried spraying them with flea spray but they just keep coming back...I would like to hear some suggestions from anyone..

"When in dought...go to the vet." I have had problem with fleas in the past. What we did was to the vet and got frontline for my dog and we use to have cats also, but since my son was born, we got rid of them and the flea problem is alot better. I have a pit-rob-boxer with a light beigh coat so they are very easy to find with short hair and a light coat. Thank god for that because I killed 2 yesterday. All year, I've only killed 5 that were on her coat and easy to see. Frontline is the best you can get and probally the best option for you. Hope that helps. OUT2WIN

We too thought we had fleas in our home becuase all of a sudden we had little flies everywhere but thankfully it wasn't from fleas. We got rid of the insects. I think it was from a rotten bag of potatoes that I forgot I had under the sink in my kitchen.

Thats very funny to me because I went to make a baked potato last night (I was cooking chicken on the grill) and got a surprise when I reached my hand into a bag filled with rotten potatoe's. So rotten in fact, that my hand went into the rotten potato and was instantly engulfed in mold. Ummm......sound really good while your all hungry, cooking food, and already have a upset stomach from waiting too long to eat. It sucked and I'll tell you what, I told my girl that for now on potato's are being left out, and not put on a low shelf in a rarely used closet.
