Yes specially in government offices they do have their own uniforms to undentified them as a government employee. But sometimes it depends on the company if they provide uniforms or dress code for their employee specially on some private offices.

Yes they do. They call it office uniforms. But other companies that doesn't have uniforms requires business attires. That is blazers, blouse, skirt, dress or slacks. As long as you will look formal. I used to work in an office many times before. And I have a collection of business clothes.

Though in our country dress code for women is absent in maximum organisation except some few. But I think dress code for women should be implemented. Dress code gives the uniformity, a freshness for doing your office work, not feeling that you are in home and doing some job. Dress code is essential for everyone for good working atmosphere.

Dress Code - Formal business dress code because industry requires the appearance of trusted business professionals and to serve clients on site on a daily basis, a more formal dress code is necessary for an employees.
Hello saisudhamani, Yes women in our country have a business dress code when they are working in a company office. The standard of dressing for women is a suit, a jacket/blaser and pants or a skirt, or a dress paired with appropriate accessories in the office. Dresses, skirts, skirts with jackets, dressy two-piece knit suits or sets, and skirts that are split at or below the knee are acceptable. Dress and skirt length should be at a length at which you can sit comfortably in public. Short, tight skirts that ride halfway up the thigh are inappropriate for work. For shoes, conservative walking shoes, dress shoes, oxfords, loafers, boots, flats, dress heels, and backless shoes are acceptable for work. Not wearing stockings or socks is inappropriate. Athletic shoes, tennis shoes, thongs, flip-flops, slippers, and any casual shoe with an open toe are not acceptable in the office. I most Company's objective in establishing a formal business dress code for men and women is to enable their employees to project the professional image that is in keeping with the needs of clients and customers to trust them. One must project the image of a trustworthy, knowledgeable business professional for the clients who seek their guidance, input, and professional services. Have a nice day!:-)

I think i am from your country. Well, to talk about dress code, It is not imposed too much on ladies here as it is done on gents. This is the case even in IT companies and if it is a government job, no need to ask. In some companies, they insist on wearing, saree, churidaar or western business formals.
