I love how small children can bring laughter no matter what the situation...
I was sitting in the driveway staring at our wrecked truck wondering what we were going to do now. My 4 year old came over and looked at what was left of the front end. He saw the headlights facing downward and the bumper curved into the grill in the middle and touching the ground on both ends. I saw a destroyed vehicle and felt angry...he saw our truck making a sad face and thought it was funny...I laughed and took a picture of our "sad truck".
I'm so glad that in the middle of the anger and frustration over our truck being wrecked I have this memory of laughing with my son about the "face" it is making.

I am a father of two, well the younger one (my daughter) is just 8 months. Between them they keep me smiling when I am at home, I love my kids. Well, besides keeping us smiling they are capable of making us think about things we never cared to think about before. You know, those seemingly innocent questions they ask when they watch you doing things.

Yes, young children can see life very differently from adults. It is id often quite funny as well as charming to listen to children's comments. A truck with a sad face is what your little boy saw. I think Thomas the Tank Engine has a friend with a sad face. Young children learn from previous experiences so that is what he is doing when he says things like this. When sad young children can make us smile hey.
I am a parent and a teacher. I teach children of 5 to 7 years old. I have also taught nursery children aged 3 to 4. Oh, the funny things they say. It delights me and makes me smile.

Yes, small children, can be very soothing to our mind most of the times. So, it is very important to have a kid in your life. Whatever problem you may have, you forget them the moment you see that flawless, pure smile on the young one's face.
