How many windows or tabs do you usually have open?
Do you have multiple myLot and others open, so you can answer lots of discussions with ease?
Personally, I use Mozilla Firefox, and I use the middle click on my mouse to open up all the discussions or profiles I wish to look at.
It means that I do not have to backspace, and I can just close this tab when I'm finished and move on to the next =D
So do you guys open things in new windows or tabs, or just keep it simple in the one?
Mal.

I have never really noticed to tell you the truth. I have my inbox window open and I go from there. I have firefox also but for some reason II seem to have trouble when it comes to popus being blocked. It is so annoying when you try everything and still can not get through to a website. Does this happen to you?

I have not yet embraced the "tab" feature on newer versions of microsoft (and my computer is old so i can't embrace it at home) because, I don't know...I just don't like it. I'm weird about having many windows open but I feel the tab feature is just cluttered. I don't know why! I hope to one day soon embrace it as I'm hoping to get a second computer at home, a laptop to do school work on, and more than likely that will have the latest update of internet programs with the tab features!

Haha, I was with you at first.
It seemed too foreign, and I enjoyed my system.
But before I brought my laptop around to my new house, I had to use my boyfriend's PC, and he wouldn't let me use my normal explorer or system, and it became a hell of a lot easier.
I can't stand my old ways anymore =P
lol.
I hope you do embrace it and learn to love it like I did.
=D

I need to get this Mozilla Firefox, I don't even have a middle button - I don't hink - I have a rolly thing - it is wireless though - but that just means changing batteries constantly!
My husband set my computer up so I have multiple tabs, like I have this open and you tube so I can hear Sade's by your side. I can see what the other tabs are
snoogs is getting, restless and wants a playmate again.

Right now I have 2 windows open one with two tabs and the other with three. I would be online for 50 hours if I didnt multitask. LOL!

I have been a Firefox convert for a long time now and a tab convert nearly as long. I have so many tabs open at once that they don't always fit and so I open a second browser window. Often I will have two or three windows open with 6 or 7 tabs each.
This seems excessive (maybe it is) but when I am writing particular types of articles on my blogs, I like to do a lot of research at once and have all the references handy. I also may want to keep one or two things open all the time, like my email.
I know it's obsessive of me to have to track 15 different things at once, but that is why the internet can be so much more engaging that just watching TV or talking on the phone, I can be chatting in IM, looking at mylot, reading the news and my email and writing something on a blog while keeping track of stats and what is happening on other sites I am interested in.
Before I had the tabbed Firefox, I just had multiple windows open. I know IE has come up with tabbed browsing now, but I prefer never to open IE if possible, it has never done anything but cause me problems.

I suppose to some it's excessive, obsessive and/or unnecessary, but it sounds like you've got your functioning system.
I almost never have more than one window, although sometimes I'm mylotting and playing RuneScape at the same time, and it's easier to switch windows than tabs =]
I definitely feel that the web is a more interactive and engaging form of 'entertainment' than television. Sure, I'm not outside running around, but I'm meeting and talking to new people, reading, learning, teaching and more - which is all easier when I'm multi-tabbing =D
Thanks Rollo!

Because myLot takes a little while to load, I do open multiple myLot windows to save time when I'm myLotting. I I have separate windows to check for my firends' discussions, hot topics, my discussions itself, and for posting new discussion. While the one window is loading, the others are either on a discussion or posting. I also have one window to monitor how my discussions fair in the hot topics section.

I keep everything in a mess! I hardly have the time for the internet, even though I love it, so yeah the little time I have for it, it is a mess how I do it!!
