I wanted to ask all of you a favor. Jim is in Lewistown Hospital tonight and scheduled for surgery at 11:00 AM tomorrow. He was diagnosed with diverticulitis, which in most cases is not a big deal. However, my husband is a stubborn man and refused to go to the doctor for 2 weeks. Now he has an extremely bad infection in his lower bowel. He will be having part of his colon and lower bowel removed. He will be unable to work for 2 weeks to 3 months, depending on what they find. I am not a religious person, but I believe in a higher power. I am asking if you will say a prayer for him. If you feel compelled to do so add him to a prayer list or chain. We need all the help we can get right now.

Hi hazydazy! Don't worry friend, I will include your husband in my prayers. Have faith and believe in the power of prayers. All things happen for a reason and I believe that He will take care of you and especially your husband in this trying days. Take care and hoping your husband will recover soon.

Well Jim made it through the surgery just fine. He will be in the hospital for a few days. The doctor had to remove 10 inches of his colon. He is in a lot of pain and has to learn to eat again. He is not totally out of the woods yet. There is a slim chance that the stitches will not hold or all of the infection was not removed. If either of those happen then he will be right back to where he started. Caleb and I are holding up. I put on brave front for Jim and Caleb, but I am scared as hell. There are so many unknowns right now and we are just going to take it as they come. I want to thank all of you who said and prayer and continue doing so for us.
