do you think having a disabled pet brings you good luck?

I have this dog a black & brown dachshund. the brown one was given to me by my ex-boyfriend way back 5 years ago. my problem is she can't be pregnant & i don't know why. but you see that's not really the point of my discussion here.. this is really about the baby of my black dog, she don't have hands or legs in the front. everytime this dog delivers baby, we always gave it to our friends or relatives but this time we didn't gave the disabled puppy cause we really feel that if we will gave her to we were wondering if the family or person who will adopt her will really take good care of her. so we keep her & until now she's already 5 months and she's very active. we named her PONGKI since in our own dialect it means no hands/legs. and some were telling us that better to keep her because will bring good fortune in our family. and it seems like true since after she was delivered, i had a job and take note a very nice job, my father also had another job and still is doing great with his job right now & generally speaking we are in great shape physically & financially. Now, you think PONGKI brings good luck in our family?
