My sister got this hole in her eardrums because she always use cotton buds in cleaning. And sometimes she get it deeper. Her ear is aching now and swollen. She already went into the doctor and she is taking a medicine now. And the doctor was making ways to repair it because if not it might cause brain damage or menigetis. I hope she will be okay.
I think cleaning our ears is good hygiene but we should be careful not to overdo it.

I always remind myself of that too, because I ahve the habit of cleaning my ears every morning and before going to bed, sometimes I hurt my ears so badly and it swelled uo to and worst I was forced to see the doctor too, he said is hould not clean my ears too often and clean too hardm he suggested I use agua oxinada instead and just wipe it with cotton.
Hope your sister get better soon!

Thank you!
I also clean my ears every day. And sometimes I also overdo it. From now on I will be careful for my ear.

I've always heard that you should never put anything larger than your elbow into your ear. A similar thing happened to my father. He thought he was going deaf. But when he went to the doctor they found that the wax was impacted in his ear because he always cleaned his ears with the cotton tips. He was just pushing the wax in there and it dried out and got stuck. He actually had to have surgery to have it removed.

Thank you for the response. I hope that it is not a worst condition for my sister. I have read that a broken ear drums can be healed with the doctors help.
