Some research suggests that women tend to pick their marriage partners based on wealth and status, wheras men tend to pick partners based on youthfullness and attractiveness. Despite claims by individuals to the contarary, physical beauty is the key that men look for. Women, on the other hand are choosier but tend to pick men who can offer material wealth and security on par with how women percieve their own attactiveness. It seems that men tend to choose partners who are attractive and youthful because these qualities imply good health and ability to reproduce successfully. And women choose so because they feel their mate can take care of their offspring well. Is this only in theory or do we follow the same? How do you choose your partner? Is it the very same way?

well yes thats usually what we see around, but it might not be true for everyone. i've seen people of extremely opposite social standings fall in love and marry. to quote an example there is this beautiful girl from a well-off family who got married to a poor handicap guy. what would you say of this?

I feel that the girl was so kind on that guy. May be they met and found their frequency matching, might be the case. But i dont think her family will ever support this. it means that there are exceptions, always. That is what i feel.

It sounds like a cliche. But there is truth in cliches.I think there are as many different reasons we choose our life partners as there are people. Now I would want a life partner that shared at least 80% of my interests and he has to have a great sense of humor.I would like him to attractive but he doesn't have to be stunning. And we have to be friends. that would be a great life partner.
