china has two ways of counting the days:lunar calendar and gregorian calendar. in gregorian calendar, there're different days in every month from 28 to 31. but in lunar calendar, there're fix 30 days in every month. so your birthday in gregorian calendar will be the same day every year, but the lunar calendar birthday will change every year. it seems that different place is apt to take different calendar to count their birthday. the north in china is inclined to take calendar calendar though the south take the other. so i celebrate my birthday by lunar calendar though a little strange.

Firstly Happy Lunar birthday, this is very interesting I have never heard of this before but couldn't you have two birthdays a year if wanted to, that would be so good, two birthdays but only getting one year older, I think I will move to China, sounds good to me.... :)

you know if there're only 30 days in each month, there will be only 360 days in a year, so in order to in step with the gregorian calendar, there is nearly one month more every four years, so in lunar calendar, there's a intercalary month every four years. it means that if you come up with the year in which the your lunar birthday is in the intercalary month, you have three birthdays if you like.
