Britney Spears' VMA Performance- what did you think?

I've never been a britney fan. I think her only vocal talent is what her producers give her. That's why she has to lip sync all of her performances. For this performance, her only downfall was in thinking that her body was back to her pre baby size. She looks great. I didnt look nearly that good after my first 2 kids. But I would never have tried to squeeze myself into a bikini. I feel bad for her. She is the queen of the dingbats, but I just think she's horribly naive, both in the way she raises her kids and the way she conducts her life. I wish her the best of luck, but rather than seeking re hab, she needs to find a life coach, because she has no natural instincts. I would never let any child of mine be a child star.

I think she has a great body considering she just had kids back to back. I didn't like the outfit she was wearing but it wasn't because she was out of shape. I just thought the outfit itself looked trashy. She didn't look like she was enjoying herself at all performing and that's what good performers need. They need to at least look like they are having fun on stage whether they are or not in order to sell their music and performance. Britney just really looked like she would rather be anywhere but on stage. I think that's what made the performance so bad.

I really felt bad for the girl..the outfit wasn't that bad...she always performed half-dressed...if she is out of shape, I want to know to who's standards is that considered out of shape..she looked pretty good to say she popped out two babies...as far as the performance, the girl looked either high or like she needed a nap..she couldn't get it together and I think at one point, she almost fell on her face..she could've waited a little longer and worked out her issues before she got on that stage and embarrassed herself...

I think she could if she choose to. I like her, she has talent, she really does in my opinion. But like you, I think she is not into this right now. I think the blows she has taken in her personal life and having it played through the cameras to the world, has taken it's toll on her. She needs to have her privacy to get her head on straight and to take care of herself. Then maybe, if she still wants to be an entertainer, she will be able to make a come back. I don't think right now is the time for her to do that. That child needs to take care of herself first.

poor Britney. i say she needs Jesus...hope she will open her heart someday to Jesus. so everything in her will be straigthened out and be back to normal.

Britney has lost it long ago. its a shame she she has to run around in bikini in attempt to get any attention from the public. she is better off working at the 7-11... at most.

Personally I thought she looked good in the outfit she wore. She has a womanly body - nothing wrong with that. However, I think she looked a little out of it and basically she just didn't want to be there. I feel sorry for her - she doesn't seem to have anyone that has HER best interests at heart. Her family just use her as a meal ticket - they've lived off her earnings since she was a child. Her ex is just a sleazy little creep. Her friends are just pathetic - I mean, Paris Hilton? What IS the point of her anyway?? I think Britney needs to forget about her career for a while, take her kids away somewhere quiet and get her act together. I think if she does that she will get through this and we will see her back at her best - if she chooses to perform again of course. I've never been a fan but I acknowledge that she does have genuine talent and at one time she was an excellent performer.

oh my goodness, that was a totally miss! she was not ready and i thought that her people should have told her that. she needed to work that tummy out and get her dance moves back

I think she looked great for having 2 kids in the last couple of years. Shame on people for saying she didn’t. Yes I agree—it is everyone thinking “skinny” is the way to be. I thought her performance was terrible- it truly to me looked like she was coming off of a hangover- or still drunk- She seemed really slow- Not the old Brittney we are used to. I think that with some work- she can sing again- Can the moves until you stop drinking so much- and actually sing- not lip sync- I think people will start to listen to her again- I’m pretty sure I won’t be one of them- as I was never a Big fan to begin with.

I only saw a quick clip of her performance but i think she was dressed a little too skimpy. she is talented but i think she needs to take some time to get her life back in order and restore her image. she's also older i think she could update her music to reflect that. shes a soon to be divorced mother of two, not a teeny bopper. i think its possible to revive her career but not just yet.

Britney Spears VMA 2007 performance sucked. Britney just walked around onstage lip synching. She was not even trying, and it was the opener for the 2007 Video Music Awards. Back in the day, she had us all talking with a lip-locking opener with Madonna in 2003. Now, we are all used to her shocking performances! Talk about going downhill.

Ok, I agree the performance was not good at all. She just looked like she didn't want to be there. I also think MTV used her for higher ratings. The VMAs has had very low ratings the last few years and it seems they was desperate. They got exactly what they wanted and now everyone is talking about the VMAs. As far as the way Britney was dressed, I don't think that was the best outfit but she didn't look that bad. So what if she wasn't all skin and bones like she used to be. I think she has a chance at bringing her career back but I don't think now is the right time for that. She should deal with her personal issues first and getting her life together with her children. Honestly, she is only human so she is going to make mistakes.

from what I saw Britney looks bored and tired of dancing and singing. I use to love her dance steps and crazy outfits...I hope that she can perform again and re-gain her old Britney styleÜ

I know that she is human and although I don't think she looked physically out of shape. It is not the britney spears that we all knew years ago. I think that she is trying to go back to that girl that she no longer is. She should have covered up and she doesn't need a anyone to tell her that. Last I checked she is an adult and we all know when to cover up and when we don't look good. She should take some advice from her friend Madonna who after she had babies covered up. She just looked so aloof to live. I miss old britney.

I've never really been a fan of Brittany Spears, however it's been hard lately not to hear things about her. I sort of felt bad for her, she seemed very self conscience about her appearance, and she didn't seem to want to be there. It looks like she wasn't giving it a big effort, I agree, the outfit was a little revealing for someone who doesn't look like she used to pre babies (I have to agree though, I wish my body looked that out of shape too), and I hear her hair stylist chopped off her extensions, then quit on her. It's got to be tough to be in that situation, trying to make a comeback and already know that you will be criticized for you efforts.

I watched it and it appeared she didn't want to be there at all. I have to wonder if she is still going at it because she loves what she does or if she feels pressure to fit into this "mold" that society, record producers, etc...Her stylist could've dressed her a lot better, but that being said I think her body was just fine. There's a lot of women who would love to look like that after having two kids! It's sad that such a big deal is being made out of it. As far as final straw, I'm not sure. Any publicity that doesn't center around her parenting skills has to be a good thing at this point.
