I don't cry a lot, but there are things that can affect me. I tend to get involved in the story lines of movies, and in the mindset of the characters therein. So, there have been quite a few movies that have made me cry actually.
"A Walk to Remember" gets me every single time. It's sad, but also very touching in a happy kind of way. And just generally heart wrenching.
The first time I saw "Armageddon" I cried, because it caught me off guard, and I still cry whenever I watch "The Patriot", or that other movie, with Tea Leoni, where a meteor hits the earth (can't remember the name right now).
Ha ha ~ in my real life, it takes a lot to get me to cry, but apparently, now that I really think about it, I'm a big baby when it comes to movies!

Many, many, many times. Comes with being a hormonal female I suppose. Hell, there are some movies that I *know* are going to make me cry, like Crash, that I'll watch repeatedly and cry every single time. I don't even bother sitting down for an emotional movie unless I have a box of kleenex handy. My kids have all kinds of fun laughing at my expense.

I cry when anything saddens me. I have cried at Shirley temple movies, when she cries lol. I cry when Dorothy has to leave her friends and go back home in the wizard of oz. I also cry when there is a commercial on that is about family, like hallmark commercials. I guess Im just a cry baby. lol

Yes, I did cry! Not only for a movie, but for an uncountable number of movies. From Titanic to Armaggedon without forgetting Brokeback Mountain.
But the movie I cried for the first time is The Color Purple featuring Whoopie Goldberg and Danny Glover. Whoopie is very far from her funny actings such as in Sister Act or African Queen.
If you really want to cry during a movie, I earnestly recommends The Color Purple by Steven Spielberg.

The first movie I remember crying at was Steel Magnolias. Immediately after the movie, I called my mother to tell her I loved her. She had already seen the movie so she understood. We had gone to the theater and I went in and watched Rugrats in Paris with my daughter and my mother went in to see Steel Magnolias. My daughter and I were waiting outside for her when she came out. And, I swear, nine out of every ten people who walked out of that movie had tears on their face!

To be perfectly honest, Asimk12, I definitely have shed tears a number of times, to be sure, especially when the movie/s I've viewed is/are really mournfully engaging and emotionally gripping.
For some weird reason (weird now that I try to think of it), though, the movie that easily comes to my mind whenever I think of one that, in a way, somehow truly made my eyes drop a tear is...Land Before Time! (I know, what the...).
Until now, I could still vividly recall the way that film greatly affected me, especially when the theme song was being played while I was intently watching it--it was simply terribly emotionally engaging back then!
