You know it's a shame ...Halloween just isn't the way it used to be years ago....I think parents with kids are so scared of all the hooligans that ruin Halloween with nasty pranks have scared parents and kids from trick o treating so there haven't been any trick o treaters coming around for years, but I still do get candy...just in case...I usually get one of those jumbo combo packs that have miniature, snickers, butterfingers, reeses peanut butter cups, muskateers, etc...The good thing that if there aren't any kids at all that come, guess who gets to eat them? :)

Well I have to be honest this year my BF and I were both sick so we decided not to have it this year , so I just bought a bunch of treats and gave all the kids I know a little grab bag , that way I didn`t have to answer the door every ten minutes ...
Made it easy for us and the kids still got something ...

I live in an apartment, and I don't think I'll be having trick or treaters. Most of the people with children live in the apartments across the parking lot from me. But when I lived with my parents, I would always sneak in some Reese's Pieces or Hershey Kisses. Money was always tight, so my parents would buy the multi pack, that had a lot of different candy, but it was mostly generic. Of course, the candy was perfectly fine, but little kids like to get candy they have heard of or seen on TV. So I'd mix some name Hershey or Reese's in with the generic, and they'd go away very happy.

I haven't given candy out to trick or treaters since I've moved to my current home almost 12 years ago. With my house being out in the boonies none of the kids come around. Which in a way is a good thing as my youngest son has a sensitive tummy and doesn't eat candy. Could you imagine if he had to see all this candy that was for the trick or treaters yet he couldn't have any? Talk about torture! :P

That's what I do. If there is any left over, I get to eat it!! So why not buy the kind you like.

I don't give out anything for trick or treaters. We live so far out in the country, we don't get any trick or treaters.
When we lived in town, I used to give out snickers and m&m's.

Hi Hun! My hubby and I usually give out either chips, chocolate bars, or tootsie rolls and tootsie pops! If their are any left overs trust me I'm not sad as they are my favorites!

Well, I kind of give them whatever I find on sale, but I do like to add a couple bags of candy bars to the mix too. they seem to be the most popular thing when trick or treaters come out.

I usually give out some small chocolate bars if I remember to buy some - for I don't eat it. Usually I just keep some money near the door - they seem to prefer that. There are not so many trick or treaters as there used to be and those little ones that do come around, usually have their parents with them. It's a sad reflection on the lack of safety on the streets today :-(
