Body Piercing - does it look cool?

Honestly, I never like body piercing at all. But every body has their own style, right?

Sometimes... It dosen't actually look good on all.. People who are more out going and into stuff like partying and all, body piercing looks cool on them... Light amount of piercing like the one on tongue looks good though, but u need the guts to carry them on...

Where I come from, we had a saying that if everyone jumped into the lake, would you do it? Earrings are okay, since people have been piercing their ears for centuries, but body piercing, jewelry in your tongue, bellybutton, cheeks, and other places? Before, the only people who pierced these places, other than the woman of India and Pakistan who pierced their noses, were savages. Even with tattoos, Japanese gangsters get tattoos over their bodies, circus people like the tattooed lady get tattoos over their body, but it is mostly servicemen and former servicemen who have a tattoo on their upper right arm or some other part of their body. Other than that, the only people who got tattoos lived in the jungles and wore grass skirts and painted their bodies. Now girls are thinking they should be one of the guys and get a tattoo and after all that body piercing and tattoos, unless you are independently wealthy or work in an artistic setting or at home, you are going to have a hard time getting a job. So I would stop with the earrings and even then, get them pierced in a jewelry store or a doctor's office by someone who is registered to do so.

Since you asked, I'll be honest so bear with me please. I don't like body piercings because to me it makes a person look cheap and immature. Especially the facial ones, they really get on my nerves but it's their body and I respect that but I don't like it regardless.

Ears are cool with me (but not more that 3 per ear). other than that I don't like body piercing. My brother pierced his tongue and only good thing about it is he couldn't talk for two days after he had done it:P I don't understand why some people think it looks cool to have you eyebrows orlips or nipples pierced. They don't have to look bad with it but they're definitely not looking better.

I wouldn't get one myself, but I do tend to think piercings look cool on other people, within reason. I guess the reason I'm not getting any myself is, first of all, I just don't feel the desire to do it. It might look good on me, or it might not, but I don't really feel the urge to get one. I do tend to find piercings cute on girls - lip piercings and tongue piercings and piercings with rock attitude :)

Hey there Clair.... Now days the trend of body piercing and tattooing is on a raise.... People all over the world are getting pierced for looking cool. Some get their nose pierced, some get their navels. Most of them look hot. But some people get so much into piercing that they get kind of whole of their face piercd and even more. Then it starts looking a bit awkward. Its no more cool then. Piercing are ok until theya are limited and give a contrast to the body pard and not completely cover it. Hi there. I have five holes on each ear, in which I only use one on each ear... I think peircings do look neat when they are done properly... I advise to anyone getting peirced up, to go to a professional and make sure they have a high standard of hygiene...

For me its not cool to have piercing on the lips,nostrils,tongues,belly buttons or even in chics.Piercing also can cause infections and other complications.So if your thinking about getting pierced,do your research first.If your under 18,some places wont allow you to get pierceng without a parents consent.Its a good idea to find out what risk are involved and how best to protect your self from infections and other complications.thank you and gud luck...

Yoyo Claire03! nice topic! hmm, i enjoy looking at people with body piercing,as they display a " wild" feel.. and belly piercing loooks so cool when u are doing belly dancing, see those RnB singers.. yup, u ooze the sexuality out! however, i understand from some articles that it is super dangerous to pierce some sensitive body parts, such as the tongue, the upper part of the ear (the bony part).. as these are the locations where the nerves meet.. and inflammation could be induced very easy, leading to swelling and sickness.. i just feel that, as long as you are willing to face the risks and u think that those risks are worth it, i will be cool with the idea. But for myself, i really do not have the courage to induce pain on myself.. haha and i only have 2 ear holes ( in the lobes), one hole each. that's all.. so UN-hip right?

body piercing.hmmmm. i feel that body piercing in case of girls and that too only on nose or ears is acceptable . rest piercing of body on the naval or some where else is hurting yourself. its stupidity. definitely it look cool and girls usually look hotter by different body piercings but just to look hooter you hurt yourself is stupidity:)

body piercing is a way of expressing yourself. it looks cool and sexy!Ü everyone has the freedom to do it. If I would get one I want it on my bellybuttonÜ

I think it's fine. If you want it go for it, if not then don't.

I think piercings on some people look really good, but then there are some people that they just look bad on. You will never know unless you try it. Some people do go to the extreme and that normally doesn't look good, but I have seen some people that make it look good.

But is it safe or is it a good idea? - its safe if you go to a reputable piercer but that doesnt mean that ones body wont reject it.. What we should be aware of before we decide to get one? - do your research on the shop, piercer, cleaning/healing/any complications for where you want it done etc etc.. Do you plan to get one? - I've had a couple over the yrs...and yes i plan on getting more. Do you think it's cool to have one? - I dont think its a matter of being cool or not cool..I think its about how one feels about it personally...I like them because I like the actual getting pierced... What do you think about body piercing? I dont think its for everyone BUT for those of us that do like them GO FOR IT!

I find body piercing cool..!! Its really an IN fasion world!! I find it very adventureous!! I am feeling to get two more on my ears..!! lets see what my mood tells. You should look for clean and steralized machines for piercing..!!

People really called it an art. For me it is really cool. Well any amazing art is really cool. So I say it really is an art ^_^

reference body piercing hi claire03 i dont think god created us to deface our boides at all but to each his own i presonally dont have any because got my wars pieced once and i got and iffectiction the studs actually went right through my ears and i had to go to the hospital and have my ears cut open for them to remove them ever since then no way but i know this is a body piercing issue but i want too bring up the issues of tatoos too i feel that is is also dangerous too and deadly because of all the poison and stuff in the ink and maybe the instrumnets are dirty they use!!!!! so i wouldnt risk it at all!!!!
