What is the point of an iq test?
It's funny how many people rely on their iq to validate themselves. In this I mean, I have come across a few people in my time who boast of having a high iq, yet, when it has come to exams for academics, they have not outperformed anyone, and worse still every single one of those people who have said they're "smarter" than average are sat working in dead end jobs, with no prospects for the future.
So why do we continue to conduct these tests when they do not measure anything of any importance? And not only that, but they are also culturally biased. Certain groups (black people and Bangladeshis) have historically performed worse collectively as opposed to white people and Indian people, and because of this some are quick to dismiss them as inferior intellectually.
Now as I said before, the tests have been proven to be culturally biased, which means that they are created by middle-class establishments, which , to sum it all up boils down to finances. If certain groups are prone to financial deprivation, how then can they leave their working-class backgrounds and join the middle-class in education, to learn and internalise the middle-class culture and values?
It's always about money when you think about it. When children are given a better start in life, with more financial freedom, no matter what race they're from, they'll always do better (unless they go off the rails).
What are you're views on this topic?

Intelligence is not a thing that can be measured on any scale. Everyman is intelligent in some way or other unless he/she is a mentally handicapped one. We know that Einstein could not count money and remember the way to his house. I know some illiterate people having some stunning calculation power. Moreover, how could you define intelligence...IQ test is a scientific hoax infested with racial discrimination.
