Do we use ou power of free speech?

I think i'm fortunate enough to live in a country were you are allowed to say what is on your mind. The only problem is that i don't think enough people use their right to talk. do you feel the same way or is this just a personal thing i feel.

Country like India where the government is a democratical form of government. where in people conducts election and gives vote to their best ones.. the maximum votes, wins the election. So people have rights to speak and they do make use of the power of speech.. this is what they have got.. in the dictatorial form of government u dont have rights to speak a word against the government, either u will be killed or kidnapped. Huh!!!!!!

True, that may be the case, and we may be able to voice our feelings by voting, but what about just standing somewhere telling everyone what is on your mind. Even if it is something small. I think ven thoughwe are lead to believe in free speech, when we expess ourselves, we are shunned...
