I used to love to watch Nick At Nite mostly so I could see the old commercials. I remember thinking some of them were so cool when I was growing up...of course, with all our technology today these are dinosaurs compared to todays commercials. But I still love them.
I remember the Kool-Aid man busting through the fake brick wall yelling HEY, KOOL-AID!!! And we drank that stuff by the bucketloads :)
Do you remember these kinds of commercials? Did you have a favorite or one that even now stands out in your memory? Are you glad their gone for the most part or do you miss them?

I'm with you, I really like to see the old commercials. My husband and I have a friend that comes over just about every weekend and sometimes we get on the subject of old television shows or commercials. One that I like was the alka seltzer commercials with the guy with the alka seltzer tablet on his head, plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is...my husband likes the fig newton guy. We love to get on youtube and see what shows we can see from our childhood and commercials too. It's so much fun to bring back those memories, it's great how many other memories these can spark too. To answer your other question, I kind of miss them, but with todays technology they'd never make it now.

My vivid T.V. memories aren't so much the commercials, but the old cartoon characters and the messages they used to convey to us as children, like Popeye eating his spinach!

I don't really remember the commercials from the past unless I see them now. I kinda have to have my memory refreshed in some areas. They do still play some of the kool aid commercials and I laugh every time I see them. My husband thinks I am nuts! I think the commercials for kool aid take me back to my past and then remind me how silly the commercials were back then. I love how he says "YAAHHH", I just think it's so funny! LOL

Yeah, twoey, those old commercials were really great! I always liked the Alka Seltzer commercials with the cute little jingle.
