Just who are you?

I asked this question on yahoo answers and it turned to be one of the hardest questions in history of the world.
Who you are who you were and what you ought to be could all be totally distinct and separate from each other.
If you go ahead with your research you end up finding out that you are something else absolutely different and indifferent.
I still wonder what makes a thief to call himself a priest in the eyes of the public and yet the reality is obviously rating and judging him as a killer.
One who claims peoples life is the headline of his biography.
I don't know why my question could miss answers;I don't know why if you ask somebody who are you?
That turns to be the most difficult question in his life.
People just shrug their shoulders and tell me "I am so complicated."
Why do you think this is the test that you are likely not to come out beaten up?.
The answer is just around you, just be what you are and do something to be better everyday.
People are never the same;they just under go mutations in every part of life.

I have had questions and answers on this topic before. RIght now I am a mother, wife, 911 Dispatcher, friend, etc. I am what I am supposed to be right now in my life. I am all of the things I mentioned because they all make up a part of me. My actions, thoughts, ideas, reactions, everything makes me who I am . Who am I, I am a person living my life to the best of my ability. Ever changing, ever growing, ever learning. I am all that I was in the past, all that I am now, and all that I will become. That is who I am.

For me, I am a mother, wife, child, grandchild, sister, teacher, & a friend. I can act as any one at any given time. I guess we all do. On terms of attitude, we can never be a sinner for the rest of our lives. What I'm pointing at here is that in someone's eyes, we may act like a strict mother; but in another person's view, we may be his or her best friend or confidante. It's because we are not confined to one choice or rule.
But what I want people to remember me for is being a great mother and a friend they could trust.

I don't find this question particularly taxing because I know, I am a person who is happy within herself. There is nothing complicated about me and I'm not difficult to 'work out'. I tell people what I'm thinking (sometimes to my detriment), but that makes them know me better. I am just me, not complicated not hard to understand, just me.

I agree, it is one of the hardest questions we will ever face. I remember staring at this 'about me' section on a profile that I was filling out. I ended up hitting the cancel button because I just couldn't quite place who I am into words. But I wonder if we just make it more complicated than it needs to be. I've started making a list of 'who I am' by listing one or two things I enjoy or that make me unique every day. Sometimes it's completely random, but maybe one day I'll be able to put it all together and figure out how to really put who I am into words.
