I was reading this article and it was very interesting. This couple in Great Britain live in a Travelodge and have been for the last 22 years. they also do own their own flat, but do not live there. Here's the article: http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070911/od_afp/lifestylebritainhoteloffbeat After reading this article and understanding their reasoning for doing it, would you consider living in a Travelodge? I don't know, I might if I were alone or just me and hubby. It does make life easier lol!

Well I guess yes it is a good Idea as they say they do not have to do any Work but I have to be honest I could not do it I would get bored as I prefer to do my own Cleaning I prefer my personal touch Also if they are getting the room for £15 a night they are getting a huge Discount as they are normally £45 ($90) a night so you see if others would do this they would be paying a lot more So no I rather stay in my own Flat that has my Personal touches lol But good luck to them if they prefer this

LOL, yeah most places are very expensive and don't do laundry hahaha! I would certainly prefer my own place to a hotel, but a nice break is always nice! Thanks for the comment.

It probably does make life easier, but I don't think I could stay in a hotel more than a few weeks. I like having a bit of personal space. A place to call my own, where I can really just relax. I'd have to have my own place eventually because hotel living just wouldn't be the best thing for me. I'm commend anyone that can do it though.

well i couldn't read the article cause it said that it was unavailable at the moment but when i do read it i will respond to this post in more detail. i would porbably live in a hotel for as long as possible if it was cheap enough just for the simple fact that after awhile you get tired of wating on everyone else that its noce to have the change and have someone wate on you. (and i know my spelling really sucks tonight lol)

That's probably cheaper than a retirement home. :) If it was just hubby and I sure. I'd imagine they'd be lonely if they stayed at their flat (why don't they just sell it and get a P O Box?) and didn't have all that staff to keep them company.

Good point, that is true! I didn't think of that. Yeah, why don't they sell their flat? They must make a good pension to afford this long term stay and their flat!
