I think that the best MMORPG free would have to be runescape, only because it was the only one I've ever found. Most of the other ones I've looked at are text-based. I don't like the idea of text-based games, they seem a little dumb to me. If you find an MMORPG like runescape, please do tell me, I'd be very interested. its gotta be the games from aeria... they do games like WoW at no cost at all and they also do a great game called project torque witch has mmorpg stuff like leveling as you get better but its based on skill not your level (plus the max speed on your car being high helps alot :D) but the aeria have done a good job on the games so i recomend trying them out. laterz!

The very best MMORPG free on the internet is....dun dun dun dun!!!! FLYFF!!!! Fly FOR FUN!!! it is quite similar to a PAID MMORPG called ROSE (Ruch on SEven Episodes). In my opinion, it's a whole lot better than runescape because it has better graphics and music, not too mention the monsters aren't simply just cows or chickens. Even a bat or a slug or even a MUSHROOM looks more killer in FLYFF!!! BEST PART IS...at lv. 20, you get to FLY!!! You can get awesome pets and really everyone from all countries are there: germans, british, filipinos, french...Man, it was fun trying to practice my french (the little bit that i know)with some french dudes there!! Check it out!

Runescape

There are TONS of games you can play but you have to download almost all of them. is you go to MMORPG.com, they have a list of games and it's a pretty big list, it has all of the big named games like runescape and WoW and GPotato games, it has games by genre and text-based to 3-D MMORPGS, check it out.

i would choose flyff i was crazy about that game i had a lvl 100 knight then i got hacked so i lost faith in it and now i play rs. the thing i liked about flyff is that it's a colour full game and the skills that you can learn ar so cool. you can also aoe that basicly means you gather alot of monsters and then you damage them all at once so you can bring in the exp and rear items.

i love rising force (rf online), but i'm hoping that there are more simulation online games like ace of angels, or maybe starlancer, where you control the spaceship and become mercenaries or trader and journey through all planet and univers..hehehhee, i love space sim

The best mmo that is free to play (free download and no monthly fees) has to be "Archlord". get it at: http://www.archlordgame.com it's a big download but very much worth the wait :-)

Probably Runescape. It is extremely addictive but after a while if you dont become member, it gets SOOOOO boring. I tried a few other games when i was bored but none of them are as good. Knightworldonline is pretty good. Im not sure if it is Knightworldonline or knightwonlineworld.com just try them both. They have to be downloaded though and the file is HUGE. it took me about 1 and 1/2 days to download it. It is really slow unless ur computer is amazing. It has good graphics but hard to understand for a while. It screwed up my computer though, i dont advise trying it. Adventurequest is something my little bro played. Its 2-D so i dont like it. lol
