The Dice Man - what did you think?

Luke Rheinhart's "The Dice Man" from 1971: What did you think? I was properly captivated the first 300 pages or so, but then I got kind of bored when dice living became kind of accepted when the dice centres were started. By the end of the book I was really disappointed, as I was expected to read 2 prequels to have the end to the story. Has anyone read them?
