How do you save a kid that's drinking too much and possibly using drugs again. I'm talking about a female in her mid-twenties who had a drug and alcohol problem and twice has stopped and cleaned up her act.
In the latest attempt to get clean and sober, she has moved to a new city and has a new job. suddenly after a few months of being on the right track, she met a guy and she's often drunk or stoned and misses work or goes in late.
Is there a way to help her refocus ongetting and staying clean and sober.

Well the first thing is she needs to want to help herself
I do not understand that if she has just got on the right track again she lets go again it is so sad
I do not know what to suggest as I have been lucky that I have not had to deal with anything like that but I do know she does not want to help herself it will be a waste of time
I really hope that she will realize it and get the help she needs

Absolutely! She needs to realize that she needs help and do something about it.

It may seem a little harsh, but have you tried a intervention? Hard cold love sometimes is the only way to get through to someone whos headed down the wrong path. Gather family members and friends, of this person around her, put her in the middle. Make sure when you are speaking to her, your words are harsh and pierciing. Make her see what her errors are. I know it sounds cruel but, it does work, my family has done it on my cousin about a year ago when she had a very wild streak.

I've heard of interventions on a TV program.
I'll look for more information and see what's available in her city.
