I just started physiotherapy today and I was really surprised how different it was from the therapy I received years ago after knee surgery. First I had deep heat massage then i had deep heat packs for 20 minutes then exercises for about 20 minutes. Then I had an ultrasound treatment and finally something totally new to me. An electric shock machine that sent a pulse to relieve the pain. This was amazing on this machine i was actually pain free for 15 minutes. I'm wondering how many fellow mylotters have had the same results now i can't wait till Friday for that 15 minutes of pain relief. Cheryl

Hey. I have had that shock machine, as my mom uses it for her clients, and to tell you the truth, I didnt like it at all... But my husband tried it and he loved it and wants to get us a little portable one, runs off AA batteries, As for your deep heat massage and heat packs, this treatment is wonderful, and I could do with one right now...

I had all that when I injured my neck. I loved the heat but wasn't really thrilled with the shock thing although I didn't really get shocked. I don't know what it was about it that unnerved me. But I got the greatest massage, heat packs, etc. The exercises were hard but my PT guided me through them and helped a lot. I should actually go back because I still have bulging discs and neck pain but I just don't have time. I am glad you are doing well. It does feel great to be out of pain for a while! When I had PT after knee surgery years ago, it was awful and I quit after a few sessions. It has changed a LOT since then.
