I have this question going on in my mind every day, but need some answer! with the situation in the Philippines over the former President Estrada and the Government, I understood that the government is just a shadow in the case of the former president, why religiouse leaders are the people behind the case, they are every thing in the Governement. why are they playing politics?

Ones religion and ones political beliefs are actually inseparable. People's religious beliefs are always going to be reflected in their decisions. These often go hand in hand, regardless. For example: A democrat or republican that believes abortion is murder is more likely to convict a person for murder on abortion.
Now, whether it is good or bad to mix religion and politics has to do with the laws of a nation: What does the law of a nation say regarding any particular issue?

I heard a lot of comments about America not being a Christian Nation, but how can you separate Christianity and law? The basic tenet of moral principles of law is based upon the Ten Commandments, not the ten suggestions. Before there was any Muslims in America there was Christians. Even the founding father who were Atheist knew that the Bible was the foundation of civilization. They might have not lived like Christians but knew that it would stop unwanted behavior. If this was a Muslim Country do you think we would have feminist? After the Jews were killed in WW2, you have 20 million Muslims in Europe, and who is causing political unrest?Who is asking for more tolorance, of the Muslims? There is no way you can separate Faith and politics, the rest of the Moslem world want to take over the world, they don't fear the use of force, to accomplish their goal. You live in a fantasy world to think you will not have politics and religion separate.

Markmiyashiro, I am not sure if in your above comment you are expressing fear that Muslims will use aggression to try to convert people to Islam. If this is true, then let me remind you that so-called Christians and Jews used the same tactics! I think that our problem with religion has to do with religious ignoramuses!

I say definitely not, to me religion is a very personal inner thing that should be kept that way and I believe politics should be decided by the people and should be in the position on the policys alone for the best interest of all the people of the country.
