I have had so many it is difficult to choose so I will list them.
Not in order, just as I remember them.
I had three sheep run into the front of my minibus on a winters road in Wales once. I was just about stationary at the time but they kept on coming. Broke the front bumper and knock themselves unconscious.
Ran a different minibus off the road after hitting diesel on the road, hit the side of a mountain. Destroyed the van.
Got two simultaneous flat tyres on another back road in a forest.
Hit a piece of debris on a motorway and broke the alternator whilst travelling to Europe.
Er think that will do. LOL

Oh my goodness! Yours are terrible! I just hope that you will be safe and don't have any of those "accidents" again!

Hello wondericequeen,
I have a different situation. My car broke down in the middle of a busy road and during the peak hour of heavy traffic jam! Lucky that I am a lady and when people saw me, trying to figure out what went wrong, they offered me a helping hand *laughs*
I used to travel back home to my hometown alone when I was still single. It takes me 3 hours to reach my house and I need to drive through highway and also trunk roads. I don't mind the highway but the trunk roads really scare me sometimes. I am not really afraid of ghosts but I do afraid of evil human beings *laughs* Always tell my mom that I will just faint when I see ghosts but nobody knows what will happen if I see evil, devil human beings!

Right! Yes, I am not afraid of deserted roads or ghosts, but if I see some evil people, I am sure that would be more scary than seeing ghosts or being left alone in the deserted place!

Hey. We broke down 3 hours away from our own town one time, and I kind of started to worry because it was going on 3:30 in the afternoon and pretty soon I knew it would be dark in a couple more hours and it was also a sunday, nothing else open but a gas station further on down the road... Luckily I had a cousin in the car with us, who knew a little bit about cars, he temporarily fixed our radiator hose and it got us all home safely, as well as a little silent prayer on my part, I was so greatful and pleased when we reached our town...

Just a funny experience but memorable. My friend was teaaching me how to drive, an I was using my uncle's car. Well, we really are not that loaded with cash, and have only few gas. I thought that we can get thru a round trip to the next village or somehow safe. But then our car stop with no more gas. Luckily, my friend ahas a friend who is a street car racer near the area.. We actually have to walk rounding the village hoping to get lucky. Good thing also, my cousin also live near the area so I was able to borrow some cash good for two liters of gas. After we survived, my friend and I got even a better bond knowing that the one who always saves us is God,, There was a church somehow.. And God was really our guide that time.
So we both learn in that experience to actually make sure we always have enough gas and money when we go out ^_^

Oh yes! This has most certainly happened to me. Actually, it happened a number of years back when my spouse and I were working together on the same job. We had taken the van out for a delivery of products and somehow got stranded on a country road. I think we were lost and had turned off the main road to get directions and when we tried to back up the van, it got stuck in a rut on the very poorly paved road. It was nearly dusk at the time and getting darker by the moment.
We had to sit in the van for two hours before we could get help to remove the van from the rut in the road. And, then when they finally arrived, it was such a big hassle. But, all things ended well and we were able to go on and finish up the job. Shortly there-after we decided that was not the job for us and moved on. But, it was certainly a memorable experience.
I guess we were really lucky that thieves or unscrupulous people did not happen upon us while we were stranded on the deserted country road. It was very frightening. I have heard some very bad stories about motorists being harassed and even robbed when their cars broke down. We were very fortunate that day. That is for sure!

That's really lucky! How bad would that be if there were robbers or some bad guys around to take the advantage!

It's happened to my mother a few times. Those times luckly we were back in our home state and since some of my uncles are mechanics, she was able to call them and they went to go help her out.
