Google Phone to be Java Based?

Rumors have been flying wild lately about the Google Phone. The latest one is that the Google Phone will be using a Java based OS. Is the Google/Sun partnership finally paying off for Java? According to a reliable source cited by en gadget, "Additionally the OS of the phone will be Java based and performance is said to be very responsive. That was quite interesting to read.We do know that Sun purchased up the assets of SavaJe, including Java based mobile. Will Google Phone be where that purchase pays off? If the rumors are ture, I think I want to be one of the first people on list to get a Google Phone. :). What about You?
