Items hanging from rear view mirrors?

i dont have anything hanging from the rear view mirror either. ive seen those crystals you talk about, and yes they are pretty, but they are just an accident waiting to happen in my opinion.
sooner or later either you or an oncoming car will get blinded with a bright reflection off the thing and then BANG!
i think in some states it's actually illegal to have things hanging from the rear-view mirror.

Yes i agree, when i was learning how to drive, my instructor told me about how it can obstruct your vision for a split second when the sun hits the crystals. I find it weird how there are obviously people out there that understand the hazards of them, but then there are others who don't understand about it at all.

The only thing I have hanging from my rear view mirror right now is a necklace of shells that a friend got me from his visit to Hawaii. I used to have parking passes there, but since I'm not attending school anymore at my old place, there's no need for me to leave it there.

It is against the law here and, if we get caught, we will get ticketed for obstruction of view or something. My brother in law had his high school tassels hanging and he was pulled over and ticketed.
This is in New York. Don't know if it just us or what but I don't have anything on the mirror because I can't. I used to have a little medallion of St. Christopher hanging there but not now.
