I totally agree with you. I loved seeing butterlfies and I still do. When i was a kid i used to go to the garden and chase butterflies around till i drop tired. But now i have to go to a butterlfly park in order to see them. Those pretty animals have become scarce.

Thanks for your concern about butterfly parks. This is something like a zoo or orphanage where only butterflies are rared. It was build in a quarry where cement raw materials were being mined, when entering the place, you enter like you are going down a big whole but there is sunshine, trees and even small streams/river. then you get to a houselike net where sooo many butterflies are traped. It is a very lovely place and entrance fee is 2 dollars only, even some people do their weddings there. Can I invite you? lol.

I used to see big butterflies in our place but you know things change as people increases they thend to look for a much better environment thats why those huge brown butterflies disappear in our place. We cant turn back time but what we can do is at least help keep our environment clean and thats the best way to keep it slower

yeah definitely it has decreased and its due to the fact that we have very less number of trees and plants around our environment.I love butterflies which have fascinating colours.we have lot of plants around our house and so i could enjoy seeing some butterflies.

Hi Subathra, U r right, we are getting more industrial and using cultivated land for that, We are left with less trees and plants now in cities. And other thing Pollution and other factors are destroying natural beauty too.
Well i have few plants at home and i can see few as well but getting rare, and not as colorfull as they b4
Take care

yes,i agree with you.
when i was a child ,i used to see a lot of butterflies over the lake.especailly in spring, flowers are beautiful and colorful.
but now,i can not see one around me,except the parks.and the numbers seem to be decreasing.
that is really bad, maybe when my boby is born, become a child,he can not see a butterfly.

Thanks for responding to this discussion and i feel sad and strange after reading ur feedback, i was thinking that it might be only here as City areas are spreading, gardens and free lands are vanishing, pollution is arising here which might be reason of this decrease of Butterflies, but u r saying they are diminishing near lakes as well!!!! isnt it sad
and how true u r that when Ur Baby born, he might not see wild life or animas arounf him/her, and we have to go to zoo to see them or only in Books, like we saw Dinosaurces??
Take care

I dont know when is the last time I saw a butterfly. They may be disappearing because there is hardly any greenery here and secondly there is too much of pollution around. Now the only butterflies I get to see is in pictures or on the computer.
