Son hits child in creche, what would you do?

Ok, my 2 year old son started in a creche last week. He was ok for the past week, a little hyper but he is not used to being around so many children and being in that sort of enviroment, but today when i went to pick him up, the minder said he threw a chair at another boy and hit another in the face with this hand. I just wanted the ground toi swallow me up, he has never done anything like this before. What do i do? I want him to stay in the creche but obviously if he keeps this up, i cant let him stay there, how can you discipline and get a 2year to understand? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance :)
