Message Forums can be a great place to advertise and it does not matter if you are trying to get referrals, sell didgital products or sell pencils. The key to advertising on message forums is to not advertise. I want to say that again. The key to advertising on message forums is to NOT ADVERTISE. What do I mean by this? Most message forums today have an abundance of moderators and members who will report anything that appears to be advertising in a heart beat and you will get banned immediately. They do this because most message forums are tied to websites that are either selling something or making money with paid advertisment and they want there members using those resources and not yours. So how do you adertise without advertising? First find a message forum that talks about whatever it is you want to advertise by going to a search engine and tpying in yourtopic+message forum example: golfing+message forum would return any results for golf message forums. Register an account and get involved in the conversation. Be helpful and add something to the site in the way of discussion, opinions, tips, etc. DO NOT POST LINKS IN YOUR FORUM POSTS...you'll get banned at 99.9% of the forums Spending time at the forum will increase your reputation on the site, build relationships and it will also allow you to learn what challenges or issues people are having with this topic. That provides great resource information to add to your blog or website. Just about every message forum today has a feature in your profile called a "signature". this is the one place a forum will allow you to post a link without getting in trouble. Do not make this link look like a sales pitch or some outrageous claim. A simple "Check out my Golf Blog" or something to that affect will do. If they do not allow a signature then they will no doubt allow you to put your home site in your profile. Over time you will become a valued member of the message forum and people will, without a doubt, want to learn more about you. How will they do this? Either by clicking on your signature link, which is at the bottom of all your posts by the way or they will view your profile that will have your homepage. This also provides very good backlinks to your site or blog and if you choose message forums with high search engine ranking it will also help increase you standing with the engines. There you have it. How to advertise on message forums without advertising. That post is for my friend Bobby and yes I learned it from the "scam programs I promote as he says. Love Ya Bob.

Steve, I'm happy you posted again, because the other discussion got deleted, and all that good info you gave me. I will put what I remember into action. Thank you very much for being frank and honest with me. I appreciate it and anything you recommend I will value. You are an asset to this site. Can I add you as a friend? I promise I won't send you any links. ;)

Not a problem Bobby. Everyone has the things they like and dislike. In business I take out personal feelings and try to look for the value in a prodcut or service. Believe me bud, I know what I am doing and don't mind sharing some info from time to time. I was never mad as I love debating. May I should have been a politician.

Good job steve, that pretty much one of the best ways to get your website out there and also get unique target visitors. Just to add to what steve said above when searching for forum you want to get involve in, look for the one that pretty much make it to the to of search engines results. Love you too steve
