I want to work at home but don't know what to do.

I have tried all kinds of things so that I can work at home. Nothing seems to be happening yet but I keep on trying. What works the best for working at home? I've been scammed so many times but I don't give up, just keep on trying the next thing that I think will work. How can I make money at home?

Hi. What kind of work do you do now? If there is a home-based alternative, try starting there. I currently work from home as a tutor online moderator. Before that I worked as a virtual office assistant with friends and family as clients. Swing by wahm.com's telecommuting moms board and check out the leads and company information posted. That should help you find open positions and give you a better idea of what these companies are looking for. Scam alerts are also shared there, which is always a good thing. I've been scammed, too, and know how you feel. Good luck in your search! Sherrie

The most successful work at home job i did was tutoring at home... if there are some foreigners in your neighborhood who wants to learn English... you could offer them your services... or if you have like an aptitude for writing, why not send some articles to reader's digest... looking for work at home through the internet might prove futile since there are a lot of scams going around the net...

First, you have to think of what are your skills? Would you be good at writing? Because that's a job you can easily do at home if you have the talent for it. I believe there are a lot of legitimate sales-type jobs where you can work from home, catalog-shopping type things...but you need to have a good network of friends to be able to make that work, because selling to strangers can be frustrating...kinda like a "cold call"! Which leads me to a third option: telemarketing/telesurveying. But you have to have a good "stomach" for that! LOL I mean...know how to accept rejection and just let it roll off your back and move along to the next one! How about mystery shopping? I kinda like the idea of doing that...wish I could! Although....that is technically not work at home...you have to go out shopping! It's hard to separate the scams from the real opportunities sometimes...I am so sorry you have been scammed so many times. It surely must be very frustrating. I'd say the next time you think of signing up for something, look for something that does not require money upfront...or try to find someone you know who is actually involved in the job...as hard as that might be. I hope you find a perfect work at home job soon that is not a scam!

Thanks for the input. I tried doing cold calling once but that wasn't for me LOL I worked like one day doing it for a temporary employment service and got hung up on so many times. LOL. I never thought about being a mystery shopper though. I will definitely check on that one. I know that trying to find something you can work with at home is tough so I haven't given up hope. Thanks again!!

I would like to help you work from home if you are still interested. It is legit and not a scam. I have my own home based business if that is the kind of work or opportunity that you are looking for and it is fun at the same time. You can swing by My Personal website or add me as a friend I will explain more in detail.
