Are Safelist A Good Way to Advertise

I have not really used safelists and I always hear bad things about using safelists. The only thing that people say they are good for are reverse marketing, and I'm just not into flipping the script on someone, because it's like fooling someone into something they may not otherwise be interested in. What do you guys think about using safelists? What about owning one?

Safe list are good if you are targeting marketers. I use them to promote programs I have. Usely the people in these list are affliate marketers. If I have a great program with high commisions I send them the info in hopes of geting them to be sub affiliates. If you are wanting to promote products that you sale there are better ways to promote like on 6.66ghz.com
