My Windows Vista's logon screen displays 2 identical account icons which confused me. I have researched for the solution however, it doesn't work. They told me it is due to the Norton Security system being active while installing an update. However, I remember that during installation, my Norton is uninstalled. So, I followed their steps such as uninstalled the update, then restart the computer to install the update again without installing any anti-virus including Norton. After I had done that, the result is still the same. So, right now, I need to know how to get rid of 2 identical account icons?

well is it a account that can logon to the computer if so then go to Control panel and user then delete the accounts.
