why kids watching cartoons?

My TV is on Treehouse, from the moment my son gets up in the morning till he goes to bed at night. Sometimes he watchs it other times he plays while listening to it. If I try to change the channel, he freaks. The only time during the day he would allow me to watch TV is when Passions was on. Other then that as far as he is concerned between 8 and 8 that tv is his. I don't think him watching things like big comfy couch, 4 squares and barney is bad for him, I think it does him the word of good. I don't mind him watching. Now if he was watching simpsons or family guy all day then I wouldn't be happy.

Yes cute24, it is good for the kids to watch cartoons. It is a kind of entertainment for them.. and they can learn lots of stuffs from there. As a parents we might not talk to them all the words that they need to learn but by them watching cartoons they will learn many words which you might not teach them.. they will also learn how to talk and also learn how to use words. Normally in cartoons they use simple language and its mixed with humors.. that is good for you kids as they will laugh and happy.

Hello there Cute,,I have always let my son watch cartoons..but theer are some i wont let him watch..like the ultra violent ones..but he learned so much on PBS and NickJR..like Blues Clues,Dora,Thomas..he knew tha abc's by age 2 and counted to 30..and knew colrs..shapes and soem spanish lol..all from tv..so i dont think there is anything at all wrong with letting him watch it..its amazing what they can learn by having fun:)
