Do you have the notify turned ON or OFF?

Do you have the notify option ON or OFF for when your friend starts a new discussion?? I have it off for everyone but one person. I dont like being bombarded with emails telling me my friends have started a new discussion. I try to come on here and spend a little bit of time every day or 2, depending on my time, and respond to alot of discussions by my friends. The one person that i have theirs set to ON, i read the discussion right away, but if i dont have time to respond, ill wait until later when i have more time.
So, is your notify option ON or OFF?

Mine are all on, because you know sometimes I'm up all night or I'm stuck in the apartment due to feeling sick. I don't answer them all, only the ones I can add something to. And I don't feel pressured to respond immediately. You've got babies, I bet you're lucky to even find time to get on the computer at all. Especially with your class.

The first time I added friends, I made sure that they are already on so I can monitor who and what discussions they start. That way, I can easily choose who and where to respond at.
If ever I don't like someone on my list, then I'd rather delete them than turn off their notifiers. I am more into responding, as that's the best way for me to earn and learn here.
As for the e-mails, I will just gaze at those who started discussions then read those whom I have received responses and comments at.
