Do you use a light bulb in your house during the day time?

Early this morning, when I got up, the sun wasn't even out, so I had to turn on my room lights. And, I got busy and didn't notice that the sun had become so bright and was still using the lights. Most times I don't use bulb lights in the house during the day time, unless I am working on my computer. Then I have to do so, for my eyes sake.
So do you think it's necessary to use artificial lighting in your home during the day? Do you think it's more expensive to do so?

No, I almost never turn on any light in the house during the day time. I just enjoy the dark more, besides, I think the light makes the room hotter to deal with. Besides, I am trying to save more money from my electricity bill, I turn everything off if possible *laughs*.

it is better to use your windows and let the sun do the thing for you not the bulbs, this is cost effective and ecofrindly

I try not to unless it is overcast and really dark. Even when I get up before the sun I try to navigate without them. I try to save money wherever I can. I have also replaced all my lightbulbs with energy saving ones.

I try not to use lights during the day. The sun does a good job of lighting all the rooms in my house, I have alot of windows. Not only is it an unnecessary expense, using less electricity is better for the environment. I try to be ecofriendly and I don't really want to pay for something I can get for free.

Our eyes are very important so if there is anything you think could help preserve them aside from eating food with lots of Vitamin A, go for it. If you care about your eyes you should be willing to spend some amount to protect it. Care them as you would a friend 'coz by letting let you see the wonders and beauty of this world, it is enough to hold on to this life.
Easier said than done, huh? :)

I turn the lights off when I leave in the morning. Right now that is right about the time the sun is coming up. I always want a kitchen light on when I work in there. I use a light by the computer, and I use a light when I read. I use compact fluorescent bulbs and I believe they give a lot more light for less money, and they save on electricity. I will turn lights off on a more consistent basis than my husband will. I get to be really obsessive about it.

I'm always up before it gets light here during the week. I try to remember to turn off the lights when it gets light enough that I don't need them anymore, but sometimes I forget. Besides the occasional light that I forget about, the only other light I use during the day is the one in the bathroom in the basement. There's not a window in there, so without a light, you can't see anything once you close the door. Of course, most days I don't go in there anyway.
It is definitely a waste of energy and money to leave lights on when you aren't using them. I am constantly onto my husband about turning off lights, tv's, etc when he isn't using them. It does make a big difference in the amount of energy you use.

Only when I am reading, no what time and day, the light has to always be on. Don't know why, but it is just a habit of mine that I can't seem to get rid of. It just feels different without the light on and then I can't concentrate on the text I am reading. I know, its weird.

It can get quite dark in our apartment when its overcast so sometimes I do use the kitchen light or lounge lamps when it is cloudy outside. Not sure if it is expensive but I prefer to have light in the house than none at all and then sit and squint at the laptop LOL

I only need to turn on the lights in my guest bathroom during the day. It is at the center of my house and has no window. Other than that I never turn on lights in my house during the day. I have a wonderful flow of natural light coming into my house because we have many, many windows and they are all positioned well. Even on rainy, overcast days I rarely need to turn on lights in my home. It is great.

I do if the light is not bright enough especially when I am working at my computer, but not when I am not reading or surfing online. I do this to protect my eye-sight. I don't like to read in the dark and it makes my eyes hurt.
