Thats a good topic heading to attract my attention and many of our attention, the 50/50!!! Well, I also loved your rating and thanks for telling something what i also want to may be, a litlle different, i also am accepting many friends these days and getting a lot lot notification for new discussion but alot of them are just for "Do you want to make money in this way"? Or something like that. well, its not bad but when a single member posts 20 threads in a few hrs and all of them are about this things, is it worth to respond it? I just get tired and only opend up those i like the topic. I also have noticed recently, may be today, a member posted two thread just one after another, the first one is about the great achievement in a money making site and lots of good words and the second one is about the same time again but this time the thread is "disappointment about the site as they are not paying and this is not a good site"...so how you feel about this? i just can't tolerate it but what i can do. i carefully avoid them. I also have seen another member replied my post copying and pasting my thread and nothing added from her own, just the lines I had in my thread...can you imagine? i just hate to see these but carefully avoid them as I know I can't do anything to them only lose my things, so I take a little break to forget it and then come back freshly. The second one I told here is also cheating in another site that I found recently,of my god, why not just be a little honest and friendly and not all the time about tricks and games....

I agree with you on that too. I guess I would be a bit upset too. I was introduced to Mylot by a good friend who discovered that I love to write. She explained certain things to me and I try to answer as many as I can or that I can handle properly and sensibily. So I guess as long as the topic is something I can handle I will be dealing with tha discussion.

What a great analysis of what is bugging you. I can see where you are coming from. I do a lot more responding than I do starting discussions. Right now my brain feels somewhat empty of everything but work, and work is somewhat confidential at my different places of employment. I am lacking material to start discussions with. I will always tend to be more wordy when I start a discussion. I like the kind that lets my friends drag up special memories, or share about their life, as that is the attraction to me of myLot. I will be lucky if I make a few dollars a month, but my friends are worth way more than that to me.

I agree with the 50/50 club. Right now, I may have to delete people again, as my number of one sentence questions is growing again. Some people may have a problem with me deleting them, but my time is valuable and I don't ask one sentence questions and want the same in return. I felt like ranting yesterday after a couple of people were ranting about one topic that was deleted. It was deleted because of a referral link no other reason. I'm hoping people will stop posting their personal links. Have a good weekend.

Grandpa Bob- I know exactly what you mean- I try to respond to most of your discussions- I start very few discussions- and hardly any friends ever respond. Yet I respond to most of my friends discussions. How is this fair?? I think friendship should be give and take- I think more of my friends should look at my discussions and respond- So maybe I’ll do the same- I am always glad to get e-mail notifications from mylot from friends discussions- that is how I choose which discussions I will respond to. I only wish people were more like me- Friends first!

I had way to many emails coming at me so I just turned everyone off...I go into Mylot and go to discussions my friends started and go from there. I go to today's top discussions and see what is in there and I go to discussions with no responses and see you needs me in there...Any posts that I start, I like to make sure they are quality posts...I do see many that I am like, "why did they even bother?" Grandpa Bob you have been so nervous you put an O where the P is suppose to be in Grandpa Bob...You spelled it, Grandoa...LOL

Usually those one liner discussions you never seen them commenting back to those discussions, at least I never do, there are alot of them on here, if they are my friends I just don't put the notify on to get their thousand emails a day discussing what flavor toothpaste you use ... I try to start discussions whenever things are on my mind. I also comment on other people's discussions and I post comments on my discussions that people have answered. I wish more people were like that too.

LOL - you're getting hard and cruel like me! I'm always cleaning out my friends' list - I would much rather have 25 friends who I have something in common with, and can chat online to, than 300 who do exactly what you say. I admit I don't respond to all my friends' discussions all the time - with my job and everything I just don't have the time..... but I do try as much as possible, and I ALWAYS reply to everyone who coments in my discussions, and rate everyone too. I know what you mean. I get so many discussions in my inbox, and end up deleting over half of them because they don't make any sense. I haven't been spending too much time here lately, but when I do, I always try to reply to my friends discussions. I also comment to those whom reply to mine. I don't really start many discussions, but the ones I do, I make sure I read each response and comment back to them. Maybe we're just a dying breed here at Mylot Grandpa !!

Well you are right about a few things....I have acquired alot of friend....not as many as you and I find that they want you to respond to their questions...but never respond to mine. I probably should be a two way street. Some of these friends start discussions with why am I not getting any responses.....dah....I give them a chance or two and if they don't answer any of mine...I quit answering theirs....likeyou said 50/50.

Oh my I agree! I have started cleaning out my fiends lists and deletig some of the ones who never respond to my discussions but try and put up a ton of discussions they want responded too. I too have a mailbox filled with notifications of discussions by my friends! Thanks for the reminder!!!!

i hear you Grandpa..i know how it feels when a member ask to be your friend but do not respond to your discussions and we respond to theirs.i had lots on my friends list and only 1/4 respond to me..i admit i don't answer you much grandpa its because i cannot relate to some discussions because i do not have ideas about it..i don't wanna be misinterpreted answering because i wanna earn few cents and my response is not related to the discussion at all..but when i know how to respond on your discussions..i respond definitely.

Yeah...you're riiiiiiiight!!!Grandpa Bob. You are a great runner with value. I agree 1,000 percent with your standing. About me here, Iit make me no time to post a new discussion because my friends(including you) are very supportive in posting new discussion and all are fruitful. So, my conclusion is just keep on making responding to friend's discussion even though there is no more exist that ratings icon on the right side of this page for me. Look at it...where got...and I don't know why and I will never make complaint for the caused and reason. What I know my daily posting target for 30 numbers reached. Enough, fair and square. To me myLot management is better than me... be coooooooooool.....

I totally agree with you there it is getting silly again and these People are being paid for doing nothing I think it needs to be seen to again I have not got many Friends who do that as I will always check Discussions and other things before I decide to accept or not I think you need to have a clear out Grandpa Bob lol

I get on and respond to questions when ever time, and family demands allow. Some days I get as many as 15 or so done other days like today 4-5. I would LIKE to do a lot more but homeschooling 5 young children ages 3-11. Plus keeping a home, and tending livestock keeps me busy. Also there is harvest and canning time and so I get on when I can. These are my daughters children and I get real tired at times. She and hubby both work at minimum wage jobs and barely keep things go. So they can't afford a day care etc. We home school because their work schedule and bus schedules don't work for them. They live 3 miles from the bus stop in the mountains and it gets nasty winters and we often see bear, cougar and moose. So I get on and respond as much as possible when I can. I also am on Xomba, Gather, yuwie and do other surveys as well. Every little bit helps.

If I get friends who start numerous discussions, with only one sentence, I end up deleting them, or just not responding. I believe people like this don't last long on My Lot anyway. Every now & then I go through my friends list & delete people, but I just haven't had time lately. There are people who only do responses, people who only start discusions. I do both, but it varies as to whether I do one more than the other.

Ouch!I hope im not one of those who will be out from your list. Please grandpa bob, I beg of you to spare me frome being deleted from your list.Dont you know that im already on of the members of GRanpaBOb Fans club? LOL 50/50, for me yu are more of a 90/10 mylotter grandpa bob. And Im rating myself in the 20/80 or even 10/90 kind of mylotter, since I just read a post little here. I could even go for two weeks without a new post. Sometimes I just enjoy reading and reading and sometimes laughing a lot here on mylot, thats I cant make a post. Or sometimes Im not in the mood to post and make new discussions. I need a lot of motivation to be able to do good posts and Im just waiting for the pefect time here I dont wanna rush things and I also dont make one liner discussions coz for me they are a watse of time.
